The Purpose…
At Trekking with Purpose, we recognise the role local communities have played in our treks, especially Nepal which provided the inspiration for the creation of TWP.
Trekking with Purpose not only wants to make your trekking dreams a reality, we also want to help the children of Nepal escape poverty and realise their own dreams through education.
Every adventure booked through TWP will see a percentage of profits go to the local Nepalese community. We work with a range of Nepal-based non-profit organisations focusing on childhood education, poverty, disaster relief, medical, infrastructure, and more.
KarmaFlights
Motivated by this purpose, TWP has teamed up with KarmaFlights , a Nepal-based non-profit organisation that focuses on reversing childhood poverty through education and secure learning environments for the Nepalese children:

KarmaFlights was founded in 2011 with the shared objective of providing a safe home and educational support for a group of eight at-risk children. The original scope of KarmaFlights' activities has since expanded to encompass a range of initiatives, including large-scale emergency disaster relief; long-term kinship and merit scholarships; school, library and computer-lab construction; hydro, solar and road infrastructure support; water, hygiene, livestock, and child-nutrition programs; waste management; earthquake preparedness training; and medical, mental, and dental health camps. These initiatives have saved lives, reduced suffering, and extended professional and personal development opportunities to thousands of children.
