PACKING LIST
What do I need to pack?
While there is no universal checklist that applies to every trek, there are certain basics that you should familiarise yourself with when you are preparing:
TREKKING
Backpack - small day pack for personal items and wet weather gear
Hiking boots (break them in beforehand)
Camp shoes - we prefer slip ons (your reward after a long day)
Wool socks (bring a few pairs of varying thickness)
Lightweight trekking pants
Trekking shorts
T-Shirts (lightweight wool is great)
Long sleeve mid layer
Underwear
PERSONAL SUPPLIES
Sun screen
Hand sanitiser
Toiletries
Quick dry towel
Biodegradable bar soap
Face/body wipes
Biodegradable washing liquid
Throat lozenges, lip balm
Medications/medical kit (Ibuprofen, others if necessary)
Water purification tablets
COLD WEATHER
Long underwear/Wool thermals
Sweater
Fleece
Waterproof jacket and pants
Heavyweight pants for high elevations (also good for camp)
Heavy down jacket
Winter hat
Winter gloves
SLEEPING
We’ll be staying in different forms of accommodation during the treks.
A sleeping bag will suffice on most treks, although quilts may be provided.
